Moon

MOON is a theme of Hanji art objects inspired by Korean traditional doors and windows made of Hanji and wooden frames. Hanji art mobiles and Hanji art posters, reflecting the traditional aesthetics and value, are living decor crafts that can be owned and appreciated in modern life.

MOON은 한지와 나무틀로 이루어진 창호문에서 영감을 얻은 한지아트오브제 테마 입니다. 전통의 미학과 가치를 담은 한지아트모빌과 한지아트포스터는 현대생활에서 전통한지소재를 소유하고 감상 할 수 있는 생활공예품입니다.

Concept

Moon in the sky always lights in harmony near us. It’s like a window of light we look at and sometimes it gives us peace of mind. Such this peaceful mind is much like the moon. The word ‘door’ symbolizes the meaning of the heart and is pronounced as moon in Korean. Starting MOON project, based on the association between this concept and the words, we intended to create beautiful object designs that can naturally penetrate into various cultures around the world.

하늘의 달은 항상 우리 곁에서 조화롭게 밝혀줍니다. 달은 우리가 바라보는 빛의 창과 같고 때로는 우리에게 마음의 평화를 주기도 합니다. 그래서 평온한 마음은 달에 비유되기도 합니다. 문(門)은 마음을 상징하며 ‘moon’과 흡사한 소리로 발음됩니다. MOON 프로젝트를 시작하면서 이러한 개념과 단어의 연관성을 바탕으로 세계 다양한 문화 속에 자연스럽게 스며들 수 있는 아름다운 오브제 디자인을 의도하였습니다.

Hanging Mobile

An art mobile tries to find balance while moving to the flow of air. Such characteristic resembles Hanji, a Korean traditional material that symbolizes the harmony of man and nature.

자연의 공기의 흐름에 따라 움직이며 균형을 잡는 모빌은 사람과 자연의 조화를 생각하는 우리 전통재료인 한지와 많이 닮아 있습니다.

Standing Mobile

Hanji mobile is an art object in everyday life that conveys the essence of nature through its movements and bring vitality and rhythm to an empty space with its colors and forms.

한지모빌오브제는 자연의 본질을 움직임으로 파악하고 풍부한 색채를 가진 한지를 이용하여 빈 공간에 활력과 리듬을 부여해주는 일상 속 오브제아트입니다.

The whole shape and composition of the mobile are determined by design research and experience. The parts are assembled by hand carefully one by one so as not to impair the balance. With an exquisite balance, the mobile moves continuously by gravity, air and wind, creating an elegant and comfortable accent in the space.

모빌의 전체적인 형태와 구성은 디자인 연구 및 경험을 통해 결정됩니다. 모빌의 부품은 균형을 손상시키지 않도록 손으로 하나씩 조심스럽게 조립됩니다. 절묘한 균형으로 연결된 모빌은 중력과 약간의 바람으로 계속 움직이며 공간에서 우아하고 편안한 액센트가 됩니다.
